"It was a pleasure to judge for you today.

The standard was good and there was some outstanding movements, gaining good marks.

Riding a dressage test should not be taken lightly, preparation is essential. Practice, practice, practice. Especially the bits you and your horse find the most difficult !!

There is no secret..... this is how to get good marks....

Scales of Training:- Rhythm = suppleness = consistent contact

If you get a comment that mentions any of these it’s important they are addressed to gain marks.

Circles have to be round and the size stated in the test.

Circles don’t have corners but when circles are at A or C it’s easy to use the corners, thus the circles become elongated and marks are lost. Accuracy is very important.

This a very small insight to gaining marks in your future dressage tests.

All the very best of luck."
